Kamikaze (Last Call, #1) - Moira Rogers I was looking for something short and fun, and this fit the bill. It was pretty much an extended sex scene, between two werewolves in human form. I liked the characters. They're tech geeks like me, so I connected with them in that respect. And I appreciated that they weren't what I'd think of as the traditional sexy werewolf types.

On the downside, I didn't like how the heroine rambled on about her issues with her ex-boyfriend. I think it was an attempt to bring backstory into this short read, but it didn't work for me. It felt contrived. And it felt unbelievable in that I can never imagine myself talking so much about an ex while having sex with a new guy.

The first half of the sex was hot. After the interlude for dinner, I didn't appreciate the second half so much. Perhaps I'm a prude. ;)
